* Bids for the work were received April 24, 2015 with construction anticipated to start in late June. Due to an usually high demand for steel I-beams, materials were not expected to be delivered as anticipated. The bridge closure was pushed back to August 17 so the steel I-beams would be delivered just when the contractor was ready to use them. This was to eliminate an advanced closure of the bridge and Coltonville Road. The contractor had a schedule to complete the project by the end of the year if there were no delays. Even with some delays, the road most likely could have been opened to traffic for winter. Some minor delays, a heavy rain in the 3rd week of November causing flooding, followed by a major snow storm and a week of temperatures too cold to pour concrete delayed the concrete pour for the bridge deck until December 4th. Four remaining concrete pours for the roadway approach pavements at each end of the bridge and adjusting the road elevation to meet the higher bridge will probably not occur prior to spring.
