	Minutes of the Forest Preserve District Proceedings March 21, 2001

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve Commissioners met at the DeKalb County Courthouse on Wednesday, February 21, 2001. President Pritchard called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. Metzger, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Dlabal, Dr. Conway, Mr. Barr, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. Those Commissioners absent were Mrs. Casella and Mr. Brown. Twenty-two Commissioners were present and two Commissioners were absent.

Mr. Haines moved to approve the Minutes of the February 21, 2001 meeting and the February 24, 2001 Workshop. Mr. Simonson seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Motion

Mrs. Tobias moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Metzger seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Morreale moved to approve a Resolution to continue efforts for future land acquisition of all, or portions, of the tract of land formerly known as the Calumet Council Boy Scout Camp located just Northwest of the Village of Kirkland in Northwest DeKalb County. And upon completion, to bring back any plan developed for final approval of the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners. Mr. Haines seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the Resolution. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Morreale moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $12,619.91 and Payroll & Emergency Claims paid from prior month in the amount of $16,653.66. Mr. Haines seconded the motion.

The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. Metzger, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Mr. Dlabal, Dr. Conway, Mr. Barr, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

There were no items of new or old business for this meeting.

Mr. Morreale moved to adjourn the meeting. Mrs. LaVigne seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the motion to adjourn. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.
