A special meeting of the Public Infrastructure and Development Committee of the DeKalb County Board was held on Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at 7:00PM prior to the full Board Meeting.  Chairman Wilson called the meeting to order. 

Committee members present were Chairman Wilson, Mrs. Casella, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hoffman and Mr. Pritchard. Mr. Guehler, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Sands and Mr. Smith were absent. Mr. Lorence, County Engineer, also attended.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA:

 

Mrs. Casella moved to approve the agenda as presented, Mr. Hoffman seconded. 

            Motion carried unanimously.

 

LETTING RESULTS:

 

A resolution was presented awarding the provision of a new chipper to Vermeer Midwest of Aurora, Il in the amount of  $21,400.00.

 

Motion by Mrs. Casella to approve the award, Mr. Hoffman seconded.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

A second resolution was presented for the provision of a new benching wing and push plow frame to Monroe Truck of Monroe, Wisconsin in the amount of $23000.00.

 

Motion by Mrs. Casella to approve the award, Mr. Hoffman seconded.  Motion carried unanimously.

 

A resolution was next presented for two construction projects, i.e. Peace Road/Barber Greene Road intersection to Rockford Blacktop in the amount of $1,482,387.03 and, a low bid of $146,821.50 to Sjostrom & Sons for the repair of a structure located on Base Line Road in South Grove Road District.

 

Motion by Mrs. Casella to approve the award, Mr. Hoffman seconded.  Motion carried unanimously.
