	Minutes of the Forest Preserve District Proceedings May 15, 2002

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve Commissioners met at the DeKalb County Courthouse on Wednesday, May 15, 2002. President Pritchard called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Dr. Conway, Mrs. Casella, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. Those Commissioners absent were Mr. Metzger, Mr. Dlabal, Mr. Brown and Mr. Barr. Twenty Commissioners were present and four Commissioners were absent.

Mr. Lyle moved to approve the Minutes of the April 17, 2002 meeting. Mr. Smith seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Smith moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Simonson seconded the motion.

The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the agenda. Motion carried unanimously.

 

Mr. Morreale moved to approve the current months Claims in the amount of $16,083.15 and Payroll & Emergency Claims paid from prior month in the amount of $17,761.02. Mr. Haines seconded the motion.

The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Tobias, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Smith, Mr. Simonson, Mr. Sands, Mr. Morreale, Mr. McLaughlin, Mr. Lyle, Mrs. Leifheit, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Hutcheson, Mr. Hoffman, Mr. Haines, Mr. Guehler, Mrs. Dubin, Dr. Conway, Mrs. Casella, Mrs. Allen and President Pritchard. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

 

The "Old" Pierce Town Hall has been moved to Merrit Prairie. Many Thanks to the numerous volunteers who helped with this effort.

Mrs. Leifheit moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Wilson seconded the motion.

The President called for a voice vote on the motion to adjourn. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.
