Present: Directors Heinisch, Kirby, Richter, Wilson, Daugherty, Tobias
Absent/Excused: Stromborg
Also Present: M. Green, P. Anderson, Scavotto, Bockman
The meeting was called to order
by Wilson at 7:00 am. A quorum was present. The meeting agenda was approved as
submitted. Motion Wilson, second
Heinisch, unanimous.
a. Quality Improvement:
Michele Green reviewed the latest QI materials emphasizing the progress
that has been made with UTIs. We are continuing to investigate incontinence and
will be refining our methods for analyzing large amounts of data. Compliance and
HIPAA issues were reviewed.
b. Management Report –
Operations
Financial statements for March and April results were reviewed with Scavotto
presenting overall performance. Year-to-date DCRNC is profitable at
approximately $115k, which is ahead of last year. Census continues to hover
around 180 and it is unlikely that we will reach 184 consistently given the
current program. Issues of concern are with reimbursement: Inspections of Care,
Provider Bed Tax, Township funding, IPA payment delays, and IPA collection
issues with resident families.
There was considerable discussion regarding the strategy of developing a senior
housing element on the DCRNC campus. There was strong agreement that DCRNC
should give every consideration to such a program as it represented an alternate
means of serving senior (the State of Illinois being a huge driver of this
market trend) and of up-streaming residents to skilled care. It was moved
(Wilson) and seconded (Daugherty) that Scavotto submit a proposal to examine the
feasibility of developing senior housing on the DCRNC campus.
Respectfully submitted,
