Management Report
a. Operations: Anderson reviewed QI activities and performance,
focusing on falls, UTI activity, Wellspring, and skin care.
Scavotto reviewed operations for July and August. Both months were
profitable. July had a modest profit due to a large increase in paid
hours – presumably for vacations. Hours and dollars paid matched December
2002; both months were the highest payouts in DCRNC history and
represented the prime vacation months. Hours paid were back to normal
levels in August and profit, excluding IGT payments, were $41k.
Budgeting for next year has been completed and submitted to County
Finance. There will be a health assessment of $2k per enrollee due over
the next two years. We may be in a position to pay off the obligation
this fiscal year.
Deb Greiner has begun as program director in Alzheimers. DeKalb Township is
nearing its maximum
support level of
$100k.
b. Executive Session: The Board went into Executive Session at 7:30 am
to discuss personnel matters.
(Motion Richter, second Dubin,
unanimous) The Board emerged from Executive Session at 8:00 am on
motion by Tobias, second
Dubin.
Next meeting: November 12, 2003
Respectfully submitted,
Catherine Anderson
