Minutes of the Special Meeting of the
Planning & Regulations
Committee
 

August 18, 2004


The Planning and Regulations Committee of the DeKalb County Board met for a special meeting on August 18, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. in the DeKalb County Legislative Center, Liberty Room. In attendance were Committee Members Roger Steimel, Howard Lyle, Stephen Slack, James MacMurdo, Pat Vary, and Vince Faivre, and staff member Paul Miller. Audience members included John Gudmunson, Joe Diedrich, Brett Brown, and Gordon Jones. Mr. Steimel, Chairman of the Planning and Regulations Committee, called the meeting to order. Roll call revealed all Committee members were present except Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Dubin. Mr. Steimel stated that this special meeting was at the request of Pierce Hardy Limited Partnership, which has applied for a Zoning Map Amendment.


APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Mr. Lyle moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Ms. Vary, and the motion carried unanimously.

ZONING MAP AMENDMENT -- Request of Pierce Hardy Limited Partnership for approval of a rezoning from A-1, Agricultural District to M-1, Manufacturing for a proposed 84 Lumber yard, on 28 acres located on the north side of Jericho Road, 400 feet west of East County Line Road, in Squaw Grove Township, Petition SQ-04-17.  Mr. Steimel stated that, based on the request of the petitioner received tonight, he would entertain a motion to table action on this application to the regularly-scheduled meeting of September 22, 2004.

Ms. Vary moved to table action on the Zoning Map Amendment request by Pierce Hardy Limited Partnership to the Planning and Regulations Committee of September 22, 2004 at 7:00 p.m., seconded by Mr. MacMurdo. The motion carried unanimously.


ADJOURNMENT

Mr. Slack moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Faivre, and the motion carried unanimously.
