SUPPLEMENTAL REQUESTS

Chairman Rosemier presented to the committee supplemental requests made by the Elder Care Services Agency and the Fox Valley Older Adults Services for allocations to come from the Senior Services Tax Levy Fund.  One request came from Fox Valley Older Adults Services for $3,020.00 for the build-out construction and $400.00 for the signage for a total of $3,420.00.  This quote was revised from their original request.

Moved by Mr. Metzger, Sr., seconded by Ms. Fullerton, and it was carried unanimously to approve the Fox Valley Older Adults request for funding of $3,420.00 and to forward this recommendation to the full board for approval.

There was a request that came from the Elder Care Services Agency in the amount of $9,317.80 for computer equipment.  The request is for a new server, transfer of data files, installation of new anti-virus software and the UPS.

Moved by Mr. Metzger, Sr., seconded by Ms. Fullerton and it was carried unanimously to approve the Elder Care Services Agency request for funding of $9,317.80 and to forward both of these recommendations to the full board for approval.

Mr. Metzger said the committee wanted to thank Ms. Berkes-Hanson for reviewing the computer quote for the committee.

The committee then discussed that issue of critical needs and when an agency could come back and ask for more funds, as an example, what happened with Medicare Part D.  They agreed that an agency could come back to speak to them for funds if there is an unforeseen emergency circumstance.

Ms. Ramp said that she would be coming back to the committee in August to let them know what the final amount of money there is in the Senior Services Tax Levy account after the supplemental allocations have been made.
