BOARD OF HEALTH MEMBERS PRESENT:  Scott Starkweather, President; Jean Gastiger, R.N., N.P., Vice President;, Secretary; Kevin Buick; Todd Latham; John B. Olson, D.D.S.; David Phillips, M.D.; Sue Thompson, R.N.; Dennis Diemer, D.V.M.; Linda K. Liston, M.D.

STAFF PRESENT: Karen Grush, Jane Lux, Ruth Patton, Bob Drake, Deb Rolf, Brenda Courtney, Marcy Zanellato, and Bette Chilton

Union Update

Mrs. Grush reported that the union contract has yet to be signed.  Management is ready to sign.  Union members have a copy of the entire contract and are reviewing it to make sure they agree with the language.  Hopefully it will be signed by the November 2008 Board of Health meeting. 

Two grievances have been filed since the contract was ratified – one due to a disciplinary issue and one due to an interpretation of contract language.
