     The meeting started at 7:00 with President Rich Joslin calling the meeting to order.  We had 13 members in attendance including John Davis, Mike Boorsma, Steve Walz, Herb Holderman, Steve Scoughton and Tammy Anderson.  Steve Scoughton introduced Don Jones who will be representing the Marine Corps League in the future.

     The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were seconded by Mike Boorsma.  The minutes were approved.

     John Davis gave the commission finance report and we have 2115.08.  The report was seconded by Mike Boorsma and was approved.

     Herb Holderman told us that some people want to donate six cemetery plots to the commission.  The plots are in Ogle County on Flagg Road.  The plots are for veterans but a spouse can also be interred there if the bodies are cremated.  Our next meeting will be in Sandwich because Representative Foster will be there.  We will be inviting other veteran groups to the meeting.  The corporation  spent $8776.60.  We spent $3475.00 on direct assistance and $5301.60 on the Vet Fair, supplies, calendars and advertising.

     There was some discussion on the budget which is being finalized by the county board.

     The new building will not be finished until November or maybe December.

     Mike Boorsma made the motion to pay the bills and this was seconded by Steve Scoughton.  The bills were paid.  Mike Boorsma also made the motion to accept the cemetery plots and this was seconded by Jerry Johnson.  The motion was approved.

     Rodger Glass is going to have more brain surgery because his cancer has returned.

     Mike Boorsma made the motion to adjourn at 7:44 and this was seconded by Steve Scoughton.  We were adjourned.
