The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session
at the Legislative Center on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. President Tobias called
the meeting to order and the Clerk called the roll. Those Commissioners present
were Ken Anderson, Larry Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Ms. De Fauw, Mr. Faivre, Ms,
Fauci, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Haines, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. LaVigne,
Mr. Lyle, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Stuckert,
Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary, Mr. Walt, Mrs. Allen and President Tobias. Those
Commissioners absent were Mrs. Dubin and Mr. Stoddard. Twenty-two Commissioners
were present and two Commissioners were absent. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion Mr. Lyle moved to approve the Minutes of the June 18, 2008 meeting. Ms. Fauci seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion Mrs. Turner moved to approve the agenda and Ms. Fullerton seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. BUSINESS Resolution R2008 - 50: Grant Application Motion Ms. Fauci moved to accept a resolution to allow the Forest Preserve District Committee to approve the application for an O.S.L.A.D. grant partnership with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and any other Grants and donations for possible acquisition of this land for recreation, environmental education and preservation of this diverse plant and animal community. Mrs. Turner seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the Resolution. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. Claims Ms. Fauci moved to approve the current month Claims in the amount of $7,540.25 Emergency Claims in the amount of $.00 and Payroll Charges in the amount of $29,027.25 representing current claims and monies paid during the previous month’s that were not part of last month’s report, totaling $36,567.50. Mr. Metzger seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote The President called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Ken Anderson, Larry Anderson, Mr. Augsburger, Ms. De Fauw, Mr. Faivre, Ms, Fauci, Ms. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Haines, Mr. Hulseberg, Ms. LaVigne, Mr. Lyle, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Osborne, Mr. Rosemier, Mr. Steimel, Mr. Stuckert, Mrs. Turner, Ms. Vary, Mr. Walt, Mrs. Allen and President Tobias. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS Board Member, Ms. Fauci announced Prairie Walk at Afton Preserve will be held Thursday, July 24, 2008 @ 6:00 p.m. ADJOURNMENT Motion Mrs. Turner moved to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Lyle seconded the motion. Voice Vote The President asked for a voice vote on the motion. All Commissioners present voted yea.
