DISCUSSION: 

Mrs. Grush stated the DeKalb County Board of Health is required by law to review its Executive Session Meeting Minutes bi-annually to decide if any of them can be released to the public.  Mrs. Grush stated that other than the minutes regarding her evaluations and the bi-annual review of minutes, all others contain information regarding ongoing negotiations, and/or personnel issues.

Mr. Buick stated he would like to review the possibility of revising the Executive Session Meeting Minutes of May 25, 2010, regarding the Public Health Administrator’s annual review, with more detail. 

Mr. Buick reviewed the intent of the law regarding minutes, and advised that closed session minutes be opened as deemed appropriate by the Board, whenever possible.

There was discussion regarding the minutes under review and which ones could be opened.

Dr. Diemer suggested that Mr. Buick and Mrs. Grush meet to discuss which closed session meeting minutes should and should not be opened to the public.
