Minutes of the Board Meeting of

July 6, 2011

CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Riddle called the meeting to order at 3:32 pm

BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:

Chairman Riddle, Feithen, Hanson, King, Leoni, Merritt, Metzger, and Mitchell  

BOARD MEMBERS ABSENT:

            Harrison and VanLanduyt

GUESTS PRESENT

Jim Feyerherm Starved Rock Communications; Lisa Miller, DeKalb Police Department; Lisa Winckler, DeKalb County Sheriff Department.

ALSO PRESENT

Mark Todd, DeKalb County Treasurer

AGENDA

Chairman Riddle asked for any amendments to the agenda.  The motion was made by Metzger and seconded by Leoni to approve the agenda.  The motion passed.

MINUTES

A motion to approve the minutes of the June 01, 2011 meeting was made by Hanson and seconded by Merritt. The motion passed

Treasurer’s Report

• Monthly Treasurers Report- was presented and discussed.
• A motion to approve monthly report was made by Mitchell and seconded by Leoni.  Motion passed.

• Bills Not Previously Submitted:
• A bill for the Sandwich Police Department UPS was added for the amount of $3645.00 for Starved Rock Communications.

A motion to pay the bills was made by King and seconded by Leoni.  A roll call vote was taken: Chairman Riddle- Y, Feithen- absent, Hanson- Y, King- Y, Leoni- Y, Merritt- Y, Metzger- Y, and Mitchell- Y.   Motion passed.

Old Business

• Fire Radio Reports
• Feyerherm reported the following:
• Yearly site visit to all microwave sites was completed in May and Lisa Winckler and Gary Dumdie also was toured the sites with Feyerherm. 

NEW BUSINESS 

• 911 Simulator Purchase-

• Golden Years – Hanson reported on the meeting with Brett Brown  . 

• Data Fiber Project- After discussion a motion was made to connect the fiber to 12 sites. A motion was made by
• An attached document details out the locations that the fiber will be installed.

• 2011 NENA Conference- Deferred will be discussed next month. 

• Sandwich Police Department Recorder- Deferred will be discussed next month.

• Legislation- Nothing new to report.

• PSAP Administrators' Report –  No Report Johnson was absent

• Persons to be Heard from the Floor - Lisa Winckler reported repair issues with Frontier at the Sheriff PSAP.  They called 5 times and Frontier replaced 2 cards in the router.

• Coordinator’s Report –No report Johnson was absent

ADJOURNMENT

King moved to adjourn the meeting, and was seconded by Mitchell.  The motion passed.   The meeting adjourned at 4:20pm.
