COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE PROCEEDINGS

March 16, 2011

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session at the Legislative Center Wednesday, March 16, 2011.  President Anderson called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll.  Those Commissioners present were Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen, Ken Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Brown, Mr. Cribben and President Anderson. All twenty four Commissioners were absent.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Motion

Ms. Fauci moved to approve the Minutes of February 16, 2011.  Mr. Gudmunson seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Anderson asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes.  All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA

Motion

            Mrs. Allen moved to approve the agenda and Mr. Stoddard seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Anderson asked for a voice vote on the approval of the agenda.  All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

BUSINESS

Resolution R2011-15: FY2010 Year-End Budget Transfers for the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District

Motion

Ms. Fauci moved that The DeKalb Forest Preserve District does approve the emergency appropriations and budget transfers as set forth on the attached page A for Fiscal Year ending December 31, 2010.  Mrs. Fullerton seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

President Anderson called for a voice vote on the Resolution.  All Commissioners voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.

Resolution R2011-16: Compact Track Loader Award

Motion

Ms. Fauci moved to award the purchase of one 2011 Compact Track Loader to the lowest bidder meeting specifications, CSR Bobcat, Inc., of DeKalb, Illinois, for the Bobcat Model T-190 in the amount of $31,980.00.  Mr. Augsburger seconded the motion.

Roll Call Vote

President Anderson asked for a roll call vote on the Resolution.  Those Members voting yea were Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Brown Mr. Cribben and President Anderson.  One Member, Ken Anderson voted nay.  Motion carried.

Claims

Motion

Ms. Fauci moved to approve the current month Claims in the amount of $39,233.22. Emergency Claims in the amount of $17,380.00. Payroll Charges in the amount of $28,274.76 representing current claims and monies paid during the previous month that were not part of last month’s report, totaling $84,887.98.  Mrs. DeFauw seconded the motion.

            President Anderson called for a roll call vote on the Claims.  Those Commissioners voting yea were Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen, Ken Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Brown, Mr. Cribben and President Anderson.  Motion carried unanimously.

            There were no items of old business or new business.

Ms. Fauci moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Whelan seconded the motion.

President Anderson called for a voice vote on the adjournment.  All Commissioners present voted yea.  Motion carried unanimously.
