FOREST PRESERVE ORGANIZATIONAL PROCEEDINGS

December 3, 2012

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in Special Session at the Legislative Center Wednesday, December 3, 2012. Chairman Metzger called the meeting to order. The Oath of Office having been administered previously to the Commissioners elect, the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mr. Cribben, Mr. Cvek, Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mr. Frieders, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mrs. Haji-Sheikh, Mr. Johnson, Mr. Jones, Mr. O’Barski, Mr. Pietrowski, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Mr. Whelan and Chairman Metzger. Mr. Andersen and Mr. Brown were absent. Twenty two Commissioners were present and two absent.

Chairman Anderson asked Mr. Newport to lead the pledge to the flag.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion
Ms. Fauci moved to approve the Agenda and Mr. Gudmunson seconded the motion. Voice Vote
President Metzger asked for a voice vote on the Agenda. All Members present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

ELECTION OF COMMISSIONERS PRESIDENT

Nominations

Chairman Metzger opened the floor for Nominations for Forest Preserve District Commissioner President.

Motion

Mrs. Fullerton nominated Mr. Metzger as the Forest Preserve District President and Mrs. Turner seconded the motion.

Close Nomination

The nominations were closed without objection.

Voice Vote

The Chair called for a voice vote on the Nomination of Mr. Metzger as Forest Preserve District President. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried.

ELECTION OF COUNTY BOARD VICE-CHAIRMAN

Nominations

The President opened the floor for Nominations for Forest Preserve District Commissioner Vice-President.

Motion

Mrs. Tobias nominated Mr. Stoddard as Forest Preserve District Vice-President and Mr. Pietrowski seconded the motion.

Close Nomination

The nominations were closed without objection.

Voice Vote

The President called for a voice vote on the Nomination of Mr. Stoddard as Forest Preserve District Vice-President. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried.

FOREST PRESERVE COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS

The Committee appointments were presented as part of the County Board Committee list without objection.

OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS

Ms. Fauci announced that there will be no Forest Preserve Committee Meeting in the month of December.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion

Mrs. Fullerton moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Whelan seconded the motion.

Voice Vote

The President called for a voice vote on the adjournment. All Members voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.
