COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE PROCEEDINGS

November 21, 2012

The DeKalb County Forest Preserve District Commissioners met in regular session at the Legislative Center Wednesday, November 21, 2012.President Anderson called the meeting to order and the Secretary called the roll. Those Commissioners present were Mr. Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Cribben, Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen and President Anderson. Twenty three Commissioners were present and one was absent.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion
Mrs. Turner moved to approve the Minutes of October 17, 2012.Mr. Stoddard seconded the motion.
Voice Vote
President Anderson asked for a voice vote on the approval of the Minutes. All Commissioners present voted yea.Motion carried unanimously.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Motion
Mr. Hulseberg moved to approve the agenda and Ms. Fauci seconded the motion.

President Anderson asked for a voice vote on the approval of the agenda. All Commissioners present voted yea.Motion carried unanimously.

BUSINESS

Ordinance 2012-12: Annual Appropriation for FY2013
Motion
Ms. Fauci moved to approve an Ordinance making appropriations for the corporate purposes of the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District, in the County of DeKalb, State of Illinois, for the period commencing January 1, 2013 and continuing through December 31, 2013. Mr. Newport seconded the motion.

President Anderson called for a roll call vote on the Ordinance. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Cribben, Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen and President Anderson. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.  

Ordinance 2012-13: Adoption of the Property Tax Levy for FY2013
Motion
Ms. Fauci moved to approve an Ordinance of the DeKalb County Forest Preserve District providing a tax levy for the taxation year of 2012 and is levied upon all of the taxable property within the corporate limits and the total sum being One Million, One Hundred Ten Thousand Dollars ($1,110,000).Mrs. Turner seconded the motion.

President Anderson called for a roll call vote on the Ordinance. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Cribben, Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen and President Anderson. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously.

Claims
Motion
Ms. Fauci moved to approve the Claims in the amount of $22,542.92. Payroll Charges in the amount of $35,411.19 representing current claims and monies paid during the previous month that were not part of last month's report, totaling $57,954.11.Mrs. Fullerton seconded the motion.

President Anderson called for a roll call vote on the Claims. Those Commissioners voting yea were Mr. Andersen, Mr. Augsburger, Mr. Cribben, Mrs. DeFauw, Mr. Deverell, Mr. Emerson, Ms. Fauci, Mr. Foster, Mrs. Fullerton, Mr. Gudmunson, Mr. Hulseberg, Mr. Metzger, Mr. Newport, Mr. Oncken, Mr. Reid, Mr. Stoddard, Mrs. Tobias, Mrs. Turner, Mr. Tyson, Ms. Vary, Mr. Whelan, Mrs. Allen and President Anderson. All Commissioners present voted yea. Motion carried unanimously. 

OLD BUSINESS / NEW BUSINESS

Ms. Fauci thanked everyone who has been involved with the Forest Preserve Committee.
