The Finance Committee of the DeKalb County Board met on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, @ 7:00p.m. in the Legislative Center’s Freedom Room.  Chairman Stephen Reid called the meeting to order.  Members present were Anthony Cvek, Charles Foster, Paul Stoddard, Misty Haji-Shiekh, and Ruth Anne Tobias.  Ms. Fullerton was absent.  Mr. Pietrowski, Mr. Cribben, and Mr. Gary Hanson, DeKalb County Administrator, were also present.

APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA

It was moved by Mr. Foster, seconded by Mr. Cvek, and it was carried unanimously to approve the agenda as presented.

SELECTION OF A NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR

Mr. Gary Hanson, DeKalb County Administrator, brought forward a resolution recommending Mr. Peter Stefan as the new Finance Director.  He said that Mr. Stefan has accepted the job at a salary of $110,000.00.  Mr. Stefan’s employment will be effective as of April 15, 2013.

It was moved by Mr. Stoddard, seconded by Mr. Reid, and it was carried unanimously to forward the resolution recommendation of Mr. Peter Stefan as the new Finance Director to the full board for approval.

ADJOURNMENT      

It was moved by Ms. Tobias, seconded by Ms. Haji-Sheikh, and it was carried unanimously to adjourn the meeting.
