DISCUSSION

Mrs. Grush is recommending the lay off of a full-time Secretary B working in the Home Care Division.  This particular position was filled when the Home Care census justified the position.  The current census does not justify the position.

Dr. Diemer asked if this employee was being selected due to performance issues or if it was strictly based on seniority.  Mrs. Grush responded it was based on seniority.

Mr. Starkweather asked how much money the Health Department will save by laying off this employee.  Mrs. Grush responded we will save $22,800 this year and $34,500 next year in salary and benefits.
