STAFF PRESENT: Karen Grush, Public Health Administrator

DISCUSSION: 

A discussion took place regarding the performance evaluation of Karen Grush, Public Health Administrator.  After review, it was suggested that Mrs. Grush should receive a two percent (2%) merit raise and, given her extraordinary service to the Health Department over her long career, an opportunity to buy down four (4) weeks of accumulated vacation time. 

There was significant discussion regarding the fact that this opportunity was not deemed to be setting a generic precedent to permit employees to buy down accrued unused vacation, but rather reflected the unique circumstances involving a long term public servant who repeatedly went beyond the call of duty.
